Location. Marbella Playa Hotel Gran Confort is a beachfront hotel in Marbella, Spain. The centre of Marbella is six kilometres away.
Hotel Features. This five-storey resort complex is designed in the style of an Andalusian village, with bungalows, narrow streets, sub-tropical gardens, and squares. The hotel has a large outdoor swimming pool surrounded by palm trees, sunloungers, and a poolside bar. The pool has water slides and a spa tub, and there are also separate children's pools, and an indoor swimming pool. There is a gym with fitness equipment, clubs for both kids and young teens, and evening entertainment is provided for adults. There is also a hair salon on site. A complimentary scheduled shuttle bus runs daily to the centre of Marbella. Internet access is available in public areas for a surcharge.
Restaurant El Mirador serves an international buffet with show cooking in a contemporary setting with sea and pool views. There is a baby corner with a microwave and refrigerator for baby food. The Hotel Marbella Playa Restaurant serves Mediterranean specialities, and the Beach Club, open in high season only, is located on the maritime boardwalk leading to the beach and serves fish, paella, and salads. All meals and the majority of drinks are complimentary for guests on the all-inclusive rate plan. Guests on the half-board rate plan will be charged for drinks and lunch.
Bowls, miniature golf, archery, and rifle shooting are all available on site.
Guestrooms. There are 331 air- conditioned guestrooms and bungalows, all with pastel decor, modern furnishings, ceiling fans, and balconies or terraces. Amenities include satellite television, direct-dial phones, safes, minibars, and hair dryers. The hotel offers all-inclusive and half-board rates.
Expert Tip. Puerto Banus, an upmarket resort 18 kilometres from the hotel, offers excellent shopping and a lively nightlife.
