The Melia Quinta is a modern, Moorish-influenced resort with 27 holes and its own golf academy, located in the 'Valley of Golf,' five kilometres from the beach and 12 kilometres from Marbella. The 172 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in Andalusian style, with shutters, terracotta-tile floors and regional artwork, and extend to balconies with views of the gardens, pools or golf courses. All rooms are equipped with satellite TV, Internet connections, telephones, coffee and tea- making facilities, minibars, and safes. Bathrooms include double sinks, separate tubs and showers, bathrobes, slippers, and toiletries.
Golfers can play on one of three nine-hole courses, practise their swing and techniques on the driving range and three putting greens, or take a class at La Quinta International Golf Academy, which caters to all levels of expertise. The resort houses three pools, including a children's pool, and the onsite fitness centre offers Asian massage, reflexology treatments, a sauna and cardiovascular equipment. Serving sushi and teppenyaki dishes, the Kaede Japanese restaurant is located in a wooden building with views of the swimming pools, gardens and 'Valley of Golf,' and even the sea on a clear day. The Los Arcos restaurant comprises both a Mediterranean buffet bar with a poolside terrace, and a typical Spanish tapas café with tiled floors, cut-off sherry barrels, bullfight posters, and copper pans hanging from the ceiling. In the summer, a shuttle bus provides transportation to the beach, five kilometres away. Renowned as a playground for the rich and famous, Puerto Banús, ten kilometres away, offers designer fashion boutiques, a diverse range of international restaurants and a large marina. Guests with children can go on safari among the tigers, crocodiles and elephants at Selwo Adventure Park, 20 kilometres from the hotel. Malaga International Airport is 65 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 35 minutes.

The hotel offers a complimentary beach shuttle in July and August.
