Carrera del Darro

One of the most famous streets in the city, it runs parallel to the river that gives it its name, derived from Dauro (Gold) and it is considered on several occasions by prestigious travel magazine one of the most beautiful streets in Spain and the world. El Banuelo

Traditionally, it has been dated to the 11th century, that is, the zirí stage is part of a second construction stage of the zirí dynasty, corresponding to the reigns of Badis and Abd Allah (1038-1090). In it we can see the ritual of physical and spiritual cleansing. One of the best preserved public Arab baths on the peninsula. The Hammam al-Yawza or Bano del Nogal has been known since the late 19th century with the diminutive of Bañuelo for being smaller than the Alhambra's royal baths.
