The capital of Andalusia is a place where many different civilizations have left their mark throughout history. The people of Seville of today are passionate about their city and millions of tourists fall in love with it day after day.

In our Monuments of Seville Free Tour, we will walk the length and breadth of the historic center of the Andalusian capital and discover that it owes its origin to none other than the legendary Hercules. Enjoy the breathtaking views afforded by one of the best-known places in the city: the Cathedral and the Giralda bell tower crowned by the Giraldillo weather vane. We will take you back in time, to Seville’s beginnings, uncovering its history through the traces of the different peoples that settled here, whether Romans, Tartessians, Visigoths or Arabs.

We’ll slow the pace for a relaxing walk along the banks of the river Guadalquivir, until we reach the Torre del Oro or Tower of Gold, and finish up in the grandiose Plaza de España, built for the Latin American Exhibition of 1929.

What was the relationship between all the different civilizations that were at one time in Sevilla? Who founded this city? Why do the letters NO8DO appear in the emblem of Sevilla? We will start the tour at Plaza del Altozano, in front of the Triana grocery Market. The visit will continue stopping by Capilla de los Marineros", Santa Ana´s Church and the old "Universidad de los Mareantes". After this, we will stroll through Betis Street, nearby Guadalquivir river and reaching the bridge of Isabel II, popularly called "Puente de Triana", from where a beautiful view of "Paseo de Colón" is observed. We will pass nearby what it used to be Saint George´s Castle, belonging to the Spanish Inquisition.
