What To Expect

Puente de Isabel II (Puente de Triana)
Next to the famous Triana Bridge we will enjoy incredible views in front of the famous Triana neighborhood. This place on the banks of the Guadalquivir River was the Port of the Indies from which Christopher Columbus and other navigators departed or returned loaded with merchandise from America.

Triana
The Triana neighborhood is one of the neighborhoods with the most personality in Seville because it was the cradle of flamenco, some of the most important bullfighters or the first Moorish ceramic factories.

Iglesia de Santa Ana
This church is considered the Cathedral of Triana by popular sentiment. It was the first Catholic church built in Seville after the end of Muslim rule in the city in 1248 in Mudejar style.

Torre del Oro
The Torre del Oro is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Seville. It was a watchtower built by the Arabs located on the left bank of the Guadalquivir river and originally connected by a gigantic defensive chain with another tower on the Triana bank. At his side, in the city of Seville we will talk about the Real Maestranza bullring, the Maestranza Theater or Magellan's first trip around the world.

Palacio de San Telmo
This Baroque building is today the seat of the Presidency of the Junta de Andalucía, although the Palacio San Telmo was built in 1682 to serve as a marine academy, training ship pilots, navigators and high-ranking officers; It is named after San Telmo (San Telmo), the patron saint of seafarers.

The word alcazar actually means fortified palace. Since the Middle Ages with the Moors, this walled enclosure has been the residence of kings from different eras, making it the oldest royal palace in Europe. It has recently been used for filming such as Game of Thrones.

Plaza del Cabildo
We arrive at this haven of peace, which we do know belonged to the old College of San Miguel founded in the 13th century by Alfonso X the Wise and was later the residence of the Master of the Cathedral Chapel and the choir boys or sixes (for this reason of the Cabildo or government of the cathedral). Under its painted arches and white marble columns we find antique and philately shops, as well as a candy store from the main cloistered convents in the city.

15 minutes • Admission Ticket Free

Real Fabrica De Tabacos
75% of all cigars sold on the continent were made in this building. The story of the famous opera Carmen takes place in the tobacco factory in Seville, where the protagonist, Carmen, a gypsy who worked in the factory, falls in love with one of the soldiers who guarded the building.

Parque de Maria Luisa
It is the most beautiful park in Seville, it was the venue for the Hispano-American Exposition of 1929 and formerly the private gardens of the Palacio de San Telmo. At this stage we will enjoy a pleasant walk through the park and we will make several explanatory stops at the Glorieta de Becquer, Plaza de América, etc.

Plaza de Espana
This jewel of the city was designed in Regionalist styles (fusion of the three architectural styles that we have visited before) by the great Sevillian architect Aníbal González (whose statue we can see there) as an emblematic space of the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929.

First Class Bike Tour of Seville

We booked this 3 hour cycle tour on our first full day in Seville. Marcos greeted us in the bike shop and Antonio took us on the tour. His knowledge of his home town and it's history was exceptional. I wish I'd had a history teacher like him when I was at school. We learned so much about the history of Seville and in a very entertaining manner.
The bikes were simple to use and the route was very flat. We stopped at various places and Antonio took lots of photos which were emailed to us later.
We were given a complimentary bottle of water at the start and a glass of something a little stronger at the end.
We take a bike tour in every city we visit as it's a great way to get to know places quickly and we both agreed that this was probably the best cycle tour we have done.
Thanks Antonio and Marcus for such a great tour.
Highly recommended!

Great Bike Tour in beautiful Seville

Hop On Bike Tour was a perfect choice for our bike tour through the streets of the beautiful city of Seville. Bikes in great condition, new and very comfortable.
We were able to visit the area where the 1992 Expo was held.
The very knowledgeable guide, who spoke Spanish, English and French, told us the history of the city and many things about the preparation, development and how the area is used Now.
We were also able to visit points of historical interest, the tour also featured several ways through the city's parks along the banks of the Gualdaquivir River, visiting the historic center on the way back.
A mix of ancient and modern culture explained in a very pleasant way by a guide originally from the city.

The tour ended it up in the office with a glass of typical orange wine offered by Marcos, the owner who explained the importance of orange trees here in Seville.
Highly recommended.
Rated 10 out of 10.
Thanks for a great day!

We took the tour for some visiting Friends from USA,in order to give them a quick overlook of the town before taking them to our favourite spots. We were gladly surprised by how much we ignored about our own city. Big GRACIAS to our guide Antonio for sharing his knowledge and passion for Sevilla, and to Marcos at the shop for the assistance...and the wine!!
Good way to get an overview of the city and its history

We took a private tour with Antonio. The tour ended up well exceeding the 3 hour alloted time. We first took a tour of Triana , went along the river to the remain of the Sevilla 92 Expo. Crossed the river over to the moorish city walls, saw the "mushroom", the jewish quarter, the area of the cathedral, Alcazar and Plaza de Espana. We went as far East as the Plaza de America before returning to the starting point. Because we covered so much ground, the tour was somewhat rushed, particularly at the end. But this was acceptable because my goal was to get an overview of the city so we could decide where we wanted to spend more time. If I were to do it over, I would bypass the 92 Expo and spend more time at the other sites. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Bikes were the usual city bikes and well maintained.
