The grounds and buildings were stunning. Virginia was our guide and she was awesome! She has her Masters in Islamic studies and was extremely knowledgeable. Wear your comfy shoes. You’ll be walking for three hours.

I agree with all the other posts who said the tour was excellent. But I would advise people to read the small print carefully about the meeting point. It is close to the old part of town and then there is quite a walk up to the entrance. Our guide took it very slowly and most of it was through trees and in the shade.
If you are in Granada, this tour is a must!

The tour was excellent. V, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Even though the tour was over 3 hours long, there was so much to learn that the time flew by. Would definitely recommend, especially if V is your tour guide.

Virginia was an excellent guide. Her knowledge on the history was amazing! The tour is 3 hours but you can easily spend the whole day there.

We took the Alhambra and generalife tour. Our guide was smart and funny and made the 3 hours go by in a flash. We learned a lot and really enjoyed ourselves. Great way to spend an afternoon!

I loved this tour of Alhambra !! They have updated technology so you don't have to always be next to the speaker to hear what she has to say. You can go at your pace. Our tour guide was very informative and funny.. Highly recommend..

Having a guide was the ideal way to see these historic sites. We would have been lost and clueless otherwise. Easy walk up then we caught a taxi back.

We had a wonderful 3 hours of the tour of Alhambra & Generalife. The buildings were awesome & gardens were immaculately kept & with beautiful flowers. Virgina, our guide, was knowledgeable & give details of the history of the place. She is also full of life & laughter.

Virginia was the BEST!! She was so informative and didn’t rush us through anything. Ask questions and she’ll always have the answer! She gave amazing recommendations at the end and introduced us to our FAVORITE tapas bar where we’re regulars now. Highly recommend. We got to see every corner of the Alhambra.

After having our original tour company cancelling on us the day before our visit and having travelled from Malaga to Grenada to specifically do the tour, we were very grateful for the last minute booking via Tripadvisor, Virginia was our tour guide and she was fabulous. Her knowledge was excellent and was able to answer all questions. The walk could be challenging for some, but this is usually noted when booking tickets and there was also an option to take a 5euro taxi to the top if needed. The Alhambra is certainly an experience not to be missed when visiting Granada. I would recommend the tour with the inclusion of the Generalife gardens. The 3 hours was just a little too long and we were pretty tired at the end, but well worth the effort.

Was a very good tour... Virginia was excellent and very in formative .. I highly recommend.. we went to the Alhambra only to find out they were sold out. Two other gals were there and heard our bad news and told us they had the same problem but quickly signed up on line for this tour and were able to get in.. so we got on line and got the tickets for this tour and saved our day. It is a good amount of exercise getting up that hill but there are several stops with good information about the site that make the walk well worth it.. ask for Virginia..her educational background was a perfect fit for the tour.

Guide was well informed about the history and very good in answering any questions very good tour As far as getting to the main entrance of the palace from the starting point of the tour building which would be better if had better waiting area and climate controlled there should be some transportation so your passengers would not have to travel up very steep back roads to get there it would be a little more professional to transport people to the main gate
Why would anyone spend 3+ hours touring the Alambra and NOT see the plácidos nazaries?

The marketing of this tour ought to have been far more explicit that it did not include the MAIN ATTRACTION of the Alhambra, the Palacios Nazaries. Huge and needless disappointment. Our tour guide was excellent and very informative.

I am a 76 year old woman with my 77 year old husband, there definitely should be a rating on the difficulty of the walking! We are both very healthy but should have known in advance how difficult the up hill walk was. We should of had the opportunity to be driven to the top. When buying your ticket this should be noted.

A 3 hour comprehensive tour. The audio system was great. It allowed you to listen without being beside the guide.

Advisor and Viator in communicating the scope of the visit.
If you don’t know the Alhambra before you get there, chances are you don’t know that Nasrid Palace is the most important thing not to be missed in any Alhambra visit. Yet they sell you this as complete visit to Alhambra and Nasrid Palace is NOT included.
We had to buy the ticket on the spot, which means we unnecessarily paid twice all other palaces of the Alhambra which were already included in the original tour. We would have rather given all this extra money to Fermin, our wonderful guide, who accommodated the tour to include the Nasrid Palace, although we had to skip Alcazaba, although paid for, for reasons of time.
Conclusion: the organization a disaster, but, since it was low season, we could correct things last minute throwing extra money and ended up having a great time.
