There are no works by Picasso himself, but some by his father. Family portraits, documents, stories… not much, but if you asked yourself about origins of his creativity you probably find some hints here. I did. Recommend!

A must-visit if you have seen much of Picasso’s art or read about him and it. The objects, mementos, art, documents etc. that helped form Picasso’s childhood home environment add interesting perspectives into his later personality and art.

En plena plaza de la Merced se encuentra esta gran vivienda dónde la planta primera y segunda están dedicada a la vida de picasso en cuanto a costumbres, datos, vestimenta, recuerdos, etc. La planta baja tiene un recibidor y se utiliza como taquilla, visitable la primera y segunda en sus distintas salas, mientras que la tercera planta es una biblioteca y la cuarta planta está dedicada a la administración y dirección de la propia fundación.

Ce musée est pour avoir une rétrospective de la vie de Pablo, pas de son œuvre qui est exposée au Musée.

I must confess that I am not a lover of scratchings and etchings, so when we went into the museum and was told that we couldn't take photos, I lost interest. I expect that they are worried that people will copy art works and sell them but I want to take my memories back with me because that's all I have for my visit. The most that I can say about this visit, is that it had a few things of interest but most that I saw was a few scratchings that I expect from students. The most enduring images which I left with was those of the little stern faced security guards and their truncheons, I suppose to keep the primary school children in order.
