Incredible Tour - Highly Recommend

We loved this tour of the Jewish Quarter. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and honest about this piece of history in Sevilla. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get a deeper, different perspective of Sevilla.

The most interesting and fascinating tour of the old Jewish quarter of Seville. Our tour guide, Lina, was fantastic in that she was incredibly knowledgeable but also so warm and friendly.

Learning the history of the Jewish ghetto in Seville was very interesting. Not much is left from so long ago, just little markers along the way. Very interesting.

Very good guide in bad situation

This tour started on a sour note as the operator foisted a group of 13 on 6 scheduled in what is supposed to be no more than 8 when making reservation. In addition, some were young children and the small group tour became 19. This makes it difficult in the narrow passages of the Quarter. It also affected the candor of descriptions and stories. A bad and unfair decision by the tour operator who didn’t have to go on this tour! I resent this lack of integrity and greed! Fortunately our guide was able to compensate for this situation with knowledge and discretion. She clearly made lemonade from the lemons given her!

The beauty of the historical buildings and a few of the stories. However there is really very little left of any Jewish character or signs of Jewish life there so the tour was more about historical Spanish figures, painters, writers and opera references to Seville (Carmen, Barber of Seville, Don Giovanni). Other than a couple of anecdotes related to how the Jewish people suffered under the Spanish Inquisition, there was little to connect this tour to Jewish content.
