概要

Great guide Barbara the young archeologist

Everything went very smoothly from beginning to end thanks in large part to our wonderful guide Barbara. She is obviously an experienced guide and with her knowledge and enthusiasm as an archeologist, brought the ancient city of Italica alive for us. She seamlessly translated in Spanish and English and kept us going at just the right pace. The tour also included a visit to an ancient monastery at the end with some beautiful artwork on the walls. 10 out of 10!

Our guide Barbara is an archeologist and very informative throughout the whole experience. The pace was perfect - I did not feel rushed at all.

Italica is a great destination for historically interested people. Our guide Barbara did a great job and provided us a lot of useful information about the history of this place. She knew plenty about the remains of the roman city that are still visible, telling us about all the mosaics and the different functions of spaces within the houses. She also showed us things that we would have never found ourselves like little boards for games that children scratched into the slabs of the road. The Amphitheatre is great and very majestic! Sadly some parts couldn't be accessed.

The nearby monastery was also nice. I loved the connection of christian art and moorish ornaments. Equally to Italica Barbara also told us a lot of interesting facts about this monastery and its important role in the history of the region.

Conclusion: Great tour, great guide!

The tour to Italica was worth it! Our tour guide, Catherine, was so well versed in all the facts and could fluently speak English, French and Spanish! Italica itself is a short drive away from Seville, and you can picture what life was life back over 2,000 years ago as our tour guide brought everything to life. The beautiful mosaic tiles was my favorite part of the visit. The monastery was a quick stop too that was a nice addition.

Italica was well worth a visit. The experience was made more memorable by Jesus. He is knowledgeable about the site and was full of enthusiasm on the tour. The amount of information he gave was also spot on, so it was fun throughout and not a boring history lesson.
