What is a Carmen? It is a type of typical Granada dwelling with large grounds, orchards, gardens full of fruit trees and flowers, many green areas that offer shade and pools that provide freshness. They are from the Nasrid period (13th-15th centuries) and have been continuously transformed according to the taste and needs of their tenants, even beyond the Romanesque period.
On this route you will learn about an art and style that you will only find in Granada that mixes the concept of city and nature, you will get to know part of the urban furniture of the Albaicín and its Cultural Heritage. The tour begins at the Cuesta de Gomérez, next to the Washington Irving hotel and you can visit the famous forests of the Alhambra that regulate the temperature making the walk very pleasant.
