Overview

On this amazing full day private excursion from Seville to the Rock of Gibraltar, we will discover something of Gibraltar's long and fascinating history. Gibraltar has been a British colony since 1703 and is now one of the last bastions of the British Empire.

With a private local Gibraltar guide, we`ll visit the Battle siege tunnels, with views over the top of the local airport and beyond. One of the Pillars of Hercules where we can see North Africa, St. Michael's caves, where Neanderthals were discovered, the Moorish castle and the Ape's den. We will head up to the top of the rock. Great for photos!
Gibraltar is of great strategic importance situated in a narrow strait which separates Europe from Africa and provides the only passage between the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. Visit Gibraltar
Standing over the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, the Rock of Gibraltar has been renowned for centuries, for its beauty and natural wonders. Probably the most famous of all are the Barbary Apes, which are the only free-roaming primates anywhere in Europe, its impressive scenery and views to die for and its military strategic location that has been the cause of many struggles throughout the centuries.
With a mix of British, Spanish, Italians and Jews, along with many more nationalities, the population of Gibraltar has grown into a very cosmopolitan place to live, thanks to the new financial district and online gaming industry, created on reclaimed land from the sea. T
